Transition to ISO 9001:2015 (IRCA approved)

Delegates will benefit by obtaining the knowledge, skills and confidence to modify their organisation’s management system with the elements common to all management system standards and specific knowledge of the proposed changes to ISO 9001 2015.

The one-day course concludes with an exam for delegates opting for the IRCA approved course

Executive Briefing & Awareness Training

This half-day course provides an introduction and awareness training to enable delegates to understand the principles and the need for an effective quality management system, and the impact of the new format of ISO 9001.

  • What is a management system: general principles and rationale?
  • Overview of ISO 9001:2015
  • Effort and involvement required of senior management and staff members

  • The new structure of standards: generic requirements

  • What to expect from a Quality Management System (QMS) audit.

Internal Auditor Course

Internal audits can contribute significantly to maintaining the effectiveness of a quality system and lead to improved performance. A well-established internal audit programme will highlight problems and enable them to be detected before they are found by an external auditor. This is a 2-day course.

During this two-day course, delegates will be guided through the elements of an internal audit based on a quality management system. They will learn the fundamentals of the new standard as well as how to plan, conduct and report on an internal audit. They will also gain the practical auditing knowledge needed to review the effectiveness of a QMS.

  • Understand the differences between the old and new versions of ISO 9001
  • Describe the purpose of a Quality management system
  • Understand the audit model
  • Undertake the role of an internal auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow-up an audit in accordance with ISO 19011 and by interpreting the updated requirements of ISO 9001
  • Conduct a ‘mock’ audit based on good process identification, sampling and questioning

The Quality Management Systems Auditor/Lead Auditor Training Course (IRCA approved)

This is a flagship course for delegates to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to audit their company’s quality system to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 19011 as well as that of their suppliers. It can also be used to improve general knowledge of quality assurance or audit techniques.

This 5-day course is a key requirement in becoming a Registered Auditor or Lead Auditor under the internationally recognised IRCA scheme.

The course follows an accelerated blended learning style with minimum lectures and maximum delegate involvement. It will give an understanding of quality system auditing, supported by case studies and workshops which develop essential auditor skills.

The programme covers four main areas and concludes with an exam.

  • Concepts of quality, management systems and types of audit
  • Audit preparation
  • Conducting an audit
  • Concluding the audit
