News on our OHSAS 18001 Accreditation

AFAQ-EAQA is pleased to announce that we have successfully undergone the first stage of our accreditation audit to OHSAS 18001. UKAS has now given us the green light to proceed further in the accreditation process. The next stage is to organise witnessed audits, where UKAS observe our assessors at our clients' premises. 


Accreditation to OHSAS 18001 will reinforce AFAQ-EAQA’s accredited portfolio of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and enable us to meet our customers’ expectations. Our OHSAS 18001 clients will therefore soon be able to have their health and safety systems recognised on an equal footing, with their existing accredited systems.  Dungeness B First Triple Certification in British Energy Fleet

Congratulations to Dungeness B power station on successful certification to three standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.  The Kent station is the first in the British Energy fleet of power stations to achieve triple certification, and is a richly deserved reward for the dedicated team.

 

On being presented with the certificate, Station Director Graham Finn said “This is a significant achievement for Dungeness being first in fleet to be registered to all three management system requirements of Quality,

Environment, Occupational Health & Safety. It reinforces our commitment to continual improvement”.
